Aussie pride!! It's such an amazing bird.

I've seen them before in the wild, but that video was still a 'jaw-dropper'.

Loved the clip, amazing bird...thanks for sharing and bringing back memories of listening to Attenborough as a child.

"the quo of quay of the quivery"

I looked up quo in my Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary. It's not even there. It's a trick test just to see if you stumble over the words. Also in that same dictionary quay has two pronounciations 1st is Key and then Qay. So they are both correct.

Wow.

That's just amazing. The Lyrebird puts a higher bar on imitations. I never knew such a thing existed.

Hello everyone. First time poster. Anyway I wanted to try one of these. Constructive criticism is welcome. Thanks

Hey, as a fairly new voice over talent, I'd like to take a stab at the posted "War of the Worlds" narration. Please be honest, but encouraging (if that's possible after hearing my posting). Thanks.

Hey, y'all. Sorry I missed this when it was an active thread. I've really enjoyed listening, and I wanted to share my own WOTW read. I'm not exactly a "PRO", but I hope y'all don't mind. Very Happy Feedback is appreciated if anybody cares to leave any.

Wow. After listening to my recording a few hours after posting it, and comparing it back to the original, I have some criticism for myself. I seriously need to slow down and work on enunciation!!! Yikes! Was lots of fun recording, though. Thanks for the exercise, Colin!

Hey Trent,

Yeah, many of us find that retrospective listening a few hours or days later gives us a better perspective on our own readings.

Pacing is a big part of Orson's delivery, to be sure.

I like the emotion of your take.

Watch out for "S" sounds and the occasional plosive.

BTW, have you posted a note in the "Hello" forum yet? If not, stop in and say "Hey!"

Cheers,
Joe J Thomas
