Hey everyone,

So I've got my gobo built! Now to improve the sound even further. Any ideas?

I appreciate all your input. Smile You all have been so helpful with improving my sound quality here at home and I greatly appreciate it.

I agree with Brian. Sounds very good AND I would add some covering to the overhead as suggested. Your voice is very clear and I can't hear anything of the room....so you're definitely on the right track.

Very nice, Michelle.

I agree with the others.

Put a "hat" on it! Preferably a mooshy one.

This, as "gating" wouldn't do anything for your "sound" - just the "noise". Smile

Thank you everyone. Smile I'm going to work on building a top for it this week. I have a bunch of left over bed foam (from using my closet as a booth), so I'm thinking about sewing it all together to make it thicker and putting that on top for now. Smile

Michelle,

The gobo looks (and sounds) great! I'm just finishing one myself and in the process of adding some acoustic foam in strategic areas. Which brings me to a question about your ceiling, Michelle. Is it a flat ceiling? Not vaulted or coffered (I think that's the right term)?

I need to add some foam to mine, but it's an unusual type of vaulted celing. Can anyone suggest a coverage "pattern" (checkerboard, etc.) that might be effective? Thanks!

~Alan

PS - Sorry Michelle, didn't mean to hijack your thread... Wink

I do have some left over foam, so maybe I'll build something with that for a cover. Smile

It's a flat ceiling, Alan. And no problem! I am still looking for more info about ceiling stuff as well. Smile

Deby - groove tube? Nope. I have a Studio Projects C-1 in there. Smile I've never heard of a groove tube.
