Hello I just set up a profile on this network about 3 weeks ago, only after people have been telling me for a long time how beautiful and unique my voice is. So far I have been researching and found some answers, however what is more important is my demo. I now have access to a recording studio but do not know what to record for and auditions. I was wondering if something simple as reading a poem with some background music would be good? If so how long and if this is not a good thing are there scripts avalible that I can read for a demo? Please help me.

Hello Nickling,

Welcome to the forums. To create a demo (if you’ve never done one) it is recommended to use a professional studio, one thing to take on to consideration will be to have a voice coach guide you on the demo creation and maybe provide some tips and training.
http://voice123.com has scripts you can use with no problem, go to the resource center and search for the word "scripts" there you’ll find quite a few.

Anyway, look for the help of someone who really knows their way on the VOs, this way you’ll end up with a good demo that can open some doors for you.

Hope this helps.
