I just joined a few days ago - people have been after me for years to do voice over work, so I though I'd try it. I've done public speaking for years, but this is somewhat new to me.
Feedback is much appreciated.
Thanks! |

Hey Stan!
I think you have a good voice, but my suggestion as a producer to you would be to do a few different types of reads with different energies. Perhaps do a faster read, one with more energy, one that's somber, etc.. Best to you.

| Thanks for the feedback - I *really* appreciate it. I've been trying to do some better demos - I hope to work on them this weekend. Thanks again! |

| You have a nice voice, Stan, but your demo cuts sound a little too "read". Paxton's advice is on the money. I'm a broken record with this today, but if you haven't had any coaching you should give it a try -- the right coach can bring you a long way. |

I think your voice has great potential. It's crisp and clear... one thing, take the bourbon one off... the first one is fabulous...
I'd go with Chip... get a coach, they are invaluable and can guide you through some rough patches. I've been doing this work for 15 years and learn something new about my voice/style every week. I was lucky enough to have a great coach during my acting years and still see her every 6 months or so, she's been a great boon in my life.
Don't stop. |

Stan: You have a great voice! Some of your reads are bit staccato. If you were able to smooth them out a bit, they would sound more professional, I think. Agree with the advice above too, a coach is one of the best things you can have. You have great potential. I hope you use it. |
