HI I'M MARTIE AND I JUST WANTED TO SAY HI AND ADD THAT I OVE THIS NEW FORM OF COMMUNICATION. I HAVE BEEN USING VOICE 123.COM FOR THREE YEARS AND I REALLY LOVE THE SERVICE. I JUST WANTED TO MEET NEW PEOPLE WHO SHARE MY INTEREST IN MAKING COMMERCIALS AND DOING voice overs. SOMETHING I HAVEN'T DONE A LOT WITH IN BOOKS ON TAPE AND MY SIDE JOB IS EDITING NOVELS SO I WANTED TO HAVE A FEW PEOPLE WHO ARE JUST AS IN LOVE WITH DOING voice overs AS ACTING AND FOR THEM TO CONSIDER TEAMING UP TO DO NOVELS WITH A NARRATOR AND CHARACHERTER VOICES TO MARKET IT TO BE MORE LIKE A MOVIE YOU CAN LISTEN TO IN THE CAR AND ECT. YOU GET THE PICTURE. THIS WOULD ALSO BE GREAT MARKETED TO THE BLIND. I'D LOVE TO EVEN DO A CHAMPAIN WITH A FEW PEOPLE WERE WE MAKE A NON PROFIT CD OF SHORT STORIES THAT ARE ILLISTRATED THROUGH OUR VOICES AND PASS THEM OUT TO THE SCHOOLS FOR THE BLIND. JUST IN CASE ANYONE IS FEELING CREATIVE AND IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT.- MARTIE |

Martie:
Nice to hear from you....
I'm in....
Similarly to you, I've almost earned a living as a journalist and editor, and supplement my meagre voice income with the odd (some would say very odd) acting gigs.
With the talent, time, and infrastructure around here, you should be able to make something like that go.
Let me know what you want me to do (he whispered slyly)....

Hi Martie - pleased to meet you.
There are a number of "audio drama" groups out there on the net that record original fiction works, if that's what you have in mind. It might be easier to join one first, then create your own later. One that I've done a little with is Dream Realm Enterprises at www.dregold.net
Also, just a bit of Nettiquette on your post - ALL CAPS IS SHOUTING! (and usually frowned upon)
Here's a good article from Wikipedia with more info:
Nettiquette
Cheers,
Joe J Thomas

I'm going to have to disagree with my esteemed colleague, Joe.
Is is always frowned upon.
