I was recently advised by someone on this forum that precious few, if any, audio book publishers come through Voice123. So where does a publisher go for THAT voice talent? Is there, perhaps, another website like this one that would serve me better if audio books are my goal?
Thanks.

Like it or not, a lot of narration is done on a pro-bono (FREE!) basis.
Some of it is for a good cause, like books for the blind. Others just "can't afford" a real VO...
You may check out the "Voice Acting Alliance" - they post for freebie work.
There are also plenty of "Fan Audio" sites that do radio drama. Two of those are "Dream Realm Entertainment" at www.dregold.net and "Pendant Audio" Neither one pays (yet?), but Dream Realm is on the air in Canada and the US.
Narration ends up being the "NPR" of the VO world - got a base of some listeners, but not high on the cash cow food train.
Not an expert, but stayed at a Holiday Inn Express,
