Hello, everyone!

I'm a newbie for Voice123, but I've started to earn my stripes locally. I've had a few gigs that I've been able to produce for some businesses in the area, as well as a few spots for some smaller markets around the country.

Haven't received any gigs from here yet, but I'm hopeful and excited. Check out my profile, if you get a chance. Any input from the veterans out there (well, anyone really) would be greatly appreciated.

All the best,
Dave

Hey David! Welcome to Voice 123! Unfortunately these are very rocky times. With the implementation of the new Smart-Cast automated talent seeker, everyone is finding it very difficult to find leads. Of course it's only been a couple of days since the "upgrade", Ha! Yeah, whatever. But we're all hoping they get all the kinks worked out soon so we can start filling our invitation boxes. How about you? Have you recieved many invitations so far? I listened to your stuff and it was pretty good. You've got a very warm and casual voice. I'd really appreciate it if you would take the time to check out some of my demos and tell me what you think. One thing I learned about this business REALLY fast is how competitive it is. There is a WHOLE LOT of talent out there, especially on Voice 123. So, good luck to all of us, and welcome to the community David!

Welcome David, to this buzzing forum, mainly for the wrong reasons though! Crying or Very sad

Hope you eventually get some Leads as do we all.

A great wealth of knowledge and support on these forums, the best I have found anyway, and people are always willing to give help where they can.

All the best to you

Adam

Hey, Brandon!

I'm happy that you liked the demos. I heard your demos and they cracked me up! You had to be a DJ! You got to have a warped sense of humor to be one. I especially liked the California Love parody - absolutely hilarious!

Anyway, I have received maybe three leads since this has turned over. I'm trying to just stay positive and believe that the gigs will come sooner or later. I'm still working on adding more stuff and I'm trying to network and market myself as much as possible.

Best of luck to you as well. You got tremendous talent and you're on the right track.

All the best,
Dave

Thanks for taking the time to listen to my stuff, David!

Yeah, when you have a small market morning radio show competing against syndication (Kidd Kraddick, Bob and Tom, etc.), you have to be as "off the wall" as possible while keeping it local.

Sometimes my stuff is so out there that I wonder if I'm only amusing myself!

But I know at least one other person thinks it's funny! lol.

Thanks again David,

Brandon
