I'm going to REALLY sound like a newbie here, but I'm anxious to be taught! I was in a forum and several talents were writing about their audition and wanted to get feedback or just share the joy of what they'd voiced... and I really wanted to hear it, too! BUT... I couldn't find the attachment of the demo they were referring to. I would see the link to their personal website etc, but that's not what they were talking about. Any help?

OK, I see SOME of them... some post a link which I can click, I get that, but often I'm not seeing the attachment.

Make sure that you are logged in. You can't see the audio files if you're not.

uhhhh....let's see...sometimes I think I'm signed into the discussion forums, but in reality, I'm not. I can READ the forums but none of the attachments are revealed if I don't SIGN IN.
So, (stupid question, I know) did you sign in for real?
Also, sometimes I can sign in, but if I don't turn off a privacy service we have on this computer, it still looks like I'm signed in. And again, I'm reading the discussions, but the attachments/demos are not "attached".
Be sure you turn off any interfering virus/spam protectors/privacy shields.

Other than that, What thread were you in, specifically that you thought there should be audtition attachments? Hopefully the moderators could step in here too and offer up some sound advice.
Wink

Thanks Debbie and Erik, YES, turns out I was NOT signed in. But now I am and I see all the files for the Simpsons fun over at LEADS AND READS.

This was my first day really working the site, doing some auditions and it has been such a joy. I don't care if I get the Dean Koontz gig or not, it was a howl doing it. OK. I do care if I get the gig, but you understand.

Thanks for your help. Here we go!

I thought your advice was perfectly sound, Debbie. Every person I have spoken to that has had this problem thus far was simply not logged in, but I have been told that certain software can block seeing the audio attachments even if you are actually on. Unfortunately, I don't know specifically which software does this but I will look into it. Make sure that when you look all the way up top it says, "Sign out [ Your Name ]." This way you know you are definitely in. I will share more information as I figure out other possible issues.

They never gave a manual. igitt

That's the spirit, Kent. Welcome to the deep end of the pool.
(Actually, most of us are off it...)

Just to catch you up: those book leads seem to be a waste of time. They post often, but open a tiny fraction of their submittals. And I've not yet heard of any one of us winning any of four dozen Seeks over a couple of years.
They're off my list, and Erik's too, I believe.

(Which wise counsel, of course, means you'll get the gig. Immediately.)
