|
|
Originally asked this in studio setup, but thought I should repost here.
quote="Colin Campbell"]It's sad. I do my monitoring through (gasp) Sony MDR-V6 headphones and I'm told "you should NEVER monitor through headphones.
I have never been able to figure out where the amp plugs into the m-box, so I also monitor through my headphones. Does anyone have the solution?
Pictures attached, plus I assume I need some kind of adaptor, what would that be?
Thanks

Lynne - You're going to need an adapter like this except you need (2) 1/4" mono Male to (1) 1/8" female. That may be hard to find - so you may have to (as they say here in Illinois) go around the barn to get to the outhouse by using an adapter (or 2) - the fewer the better.

I just want to say that:
I love the internet and
I love Todd Ellis.
And I think Lynne is cool, too.

Once I have the adapter, where on the M-Box does it plug into?

Radio Shack.
You've got questions. We've got batteries.

Man, that is SO true. Used to live in a small town where Radio Shack was the only place to go for audio stuff or even things like PDAs. After two visits there and seeing they were run by differently-abled people, I resolved that UPS would be my friend. And for the most part, it was.

Yep I would totally ask my UPS man audio questions before I set foot in a Radio Shack.

That would have worked better, too.
What I meant was that I find what I need online and have it shipped to me.
But either one is better.

That is so funny about Radio Shack, that's exactly what they asked, do you need batteries, as I'm stood holding a M-box, I mean to say does it look like it takes batteries.
The lessons I just learned
1. Ask Todd for a visual
2. Get batteries from Radio Shack.
Yes, I'm sure that if you haven't followed this thread, it'll make you wonder what site your on!

what size batteries does the m-box take?
btw - not to threadjack - but my dog is O.C.D. mutt WILL NOT deviate from his routine. The reason i bring it up is that he hates the UPS man. For some reason, though, he's ok with Radio Shack.
