The late Jack Palance.

Enjoy.

(If you're offended by the f-bomb, don't play.)

Great to hear one of my favorite voices ever. If this is Mr. Palance, I'm very pleased to hear his personally uncensored thoughts at the moment.

Shit, haven't you ever had a day when you "felt" the same way and could just use the same "thoughts" and language?

I'm sure some will interject here and say "Moi?...no I'd never utter such atrocious words" - just to join the very list of those that Palance and I would use the F bomb on as well.

Now, Allen, where in the world did you find this clip?

Nice stuff. Thanks.

And Jack Palance just says here what every single one of us has wanted to say at one time or another (and another and another and...) to clients somewhere, someplace.

This has been on the web for awhile, but I didn't know if you guys had heard it. It came into my hands back in the mid 90's. It was circulating between recording studios, mostly transported by talent on cassette. Engineers would play it for a goof and the talent would yell, "Can I have a copy of that?"

Then it began to be played down the line during ISDN sessions to loosen everybody up with a laugh (depending on the number of prudes in the room.)

I have one regular ISDN client who, to this day, starts our sessions with "Now we're only going to do this for a little while!"

This is available on a CD set of dubious legality called "Celebrities At Their Worst", there are actually a few volumes of it, it collects a few of the infamous Buddy Rich band abuse rants, some hilarious Jerry Lewis & Dean Martin prank phone calls, the legendary Orson Welles outtakes, the Barry White one posted earlier, and tons & tons more. Classic and wonderful stuff. The Bing Crosby outtakes alone are worth the price of admission (IMO, YMMV).

Here is commercial from him.

I had to look him up I didn't recognize the name. I remember he did push ups at the Oscars when he was rather old, but obviously strong.

I actually remember the Skin Bracer by Mennen commercial. Grandfather had it in his bathroom cabinet. When visiting I'd sneak in there and load up on the stuff as a kid.

Sweat memories of Grandmother and family laughing at "how good" I smelled.

God help ya if you applied it with a few razor nicks!

I can smell it like it was yesterday. Thanks for the memories.

Oh, I remember the Casey Kasem one. That was too funny! The first time I heard that was in College. He's the ONE guy I always wanted to see loose it. Evil or Very Mad

Lily Tomlin had quite a bit of trouble with her director while filming I Heart Huckabees.

Also during the shoot, she had issues with everyone nearby.

Joe, thanks for posting that Lily Tomlin link! I felt like that last night...
One :60 radio spot, two voice talents (myself being one of them). However; we had three clients making decisions for the same company, two "wanna be copy-writers" and no one was communicating with eachother. Four hours later, the spot was finished. The clients were happy and I needed a beer! prost

OMG! Joe. Thanks for posting. What a train wreck. I've been on movie and TV sets where things were say "heavily debated", but nothing like that. Shocked The funniest thing that got a nervous giggle out of me was the line about gettting some insurance on the directer.

When I directed a play called "Suitehearts" It was about a young virginal couple on their honeymoon and then a couple that was like an Andrew Dice Clay guy and a Pamela Anderson Chick on their Honeymoon as well, having to share the same honeymoon hotel. Now the Andrew Dice Clay like character needed to be a real male macho "men are superior to females" type. I knew the perfect actor for the job. I learned a lesson about type casting though. Almost all the rehearsal were fine, and the play was a success, there was one night at the very end of rehearsals I suggested to this "macho" actor that he write the lines that he missed down 5 times each. OMG you would have thought I had asked him to donate blood. All the sudden I was too young to direct, too female to make a suggestion.... It was nothing as bad as what you saw in that clip.....It was more like that scene from Jerry Migurier where Tom Cruise is desperately saying. "Let me Help You." I finally after 20 min of bickering....I said fine .....don't memorize the lines, just show up on opening night 2 weeks from now, and get egg your face. I'm only responsible for whether you go stage Rt or stage LF. That ofcourse wasn't true, and I broke down in tears right as I said it, but I could see the look of guilt on his face. The next rehearsal was fine though and we were friends before the squabble and afterwards. Basically every once in a while sh*t happens.
