Hearty congrats, Thomas, and what a beauty!
Sleek, elegant, curvaceous; probably handles well, too.
The limo, I mean!
Meanwhile, much cyber-rice tossed your way,

Lee, you're funny.
Thomas, best wishes to you and your lovely bride!!
And, just b/c I'm queen of the OT... I'll actually mention something on topic.
Anyone get the email that says the stats are no longer in beta and are accurate?
I'm going to take some time out to email v123 my concern about this, b/c stats affect where we show up in a voice talent search, which is very impt to me.. Issues I have are:
a) the stats say that I am being compared to others with my language parameter. But what about just female? Shouldn't I be compared to other only females as well?
b) of the approx. 4000 of us on the site, there are obviously MANY MANY members who don't audition, and they're bringing down the average auditions submitted number (since Jul 28, the average number of auditions submitted is 18?). Maybe when calculating this figure, they should not include those people who joined but don't participate... again, there are apparently lots of them.
d) b/c of this, I have submitted 463% more auditions than the average talent!! And I've submitted 102 auditions since Jul 28... WHICH is only HALF of the leads I've received!!!
Makes no sense. They need to weed out those members who don't submit at all before they calculate this.
Ok, rant over. I'm sending my email to Customer Service. _________________ Caryn Clark... THE Hip Chick Voice!

Caryn, you make an excellent point - I too wondered about why people appeared to not be auditioning for much of anything. Some of it is also that they don't appear to be taking into consideration the actual leads we are rejecting or pursuing. It's just total numbers.
I don't answer any broadcast stuff that is below a certain rate and I don't answer To Be Determined leads 99% of the time. I have almost entirely stopped answering voice mail leads even if the rate falls into my page minimum.
| Quote: | Since Oct 05, 2007 you have submitted 10 auditions and proposals.
During this same time period, all Voice123 Premium Subscribers that also speak English (North American) have submitted an average of 2.92 auditions and proposals (approx.)
As such, during the same period of time, you have submitted 242.47% more auditions and proposals than other Premium Subscribers that also speak English (North American). |

Caryn and Connie I totaly agree with you both! Actually I have been a member for a couple of years now and have not been very active on the forum. But this is something that has been bothering me as well.
Actually, just a few days ago I wrote my thougths on another thread regarding my concern. I know that the new V123 has positives, but I must say that I seem to be spending a lot more time deleting and sorting.
I wonder if there's a way that in our profiles we could enter our 'minimums' so that auditions for less than that would not be sent to us. It would save time all around. Any thoughts? I'll be glad to contact Customer Service. _________________ Peace & Blessings

This is something they have said they are going to do - let us select minimums.
Ideally, it would be separated by their own categories, so that we could set levels depending on the general category - examples below of their categories.
- IVR, voicemail, phone systems, and on-hold messages.
- Commercials and promos for radio, TV, Internet, and related media.
- Live announcers (off-camera).
- Business recordings: podcasts, corporate (industrial) presentations or videos, and web sites. _________________ Connie Terwilliger - New Yorker Cartoon
