It is slow isn't it? I've got some production work to keep me busy but it's not very rewarding.

Plus... is it me or is this place starting to slow way down lately? Only 4 pages in last week's LEADS AND READS!

Your picture made me bust a gut.

Last week was one of those weeks for me... in fact, twice last week I picked up the phone just to see if it was still working.

Today: I signed a TV station in Arkansas (for creative services) a radio station in upstate New York for imaging and had a nibble from an independent producer.

Feast or famine.

But take heart should you think me to be gloating... as I think the furnace in the main house just decided to quit.

I actually haven't responded to a V123 lead in about a week or two. Nothing too attractive for young adult/teen going on. All the toy commercials are a-running already.

Anyone get those 2 big leads last week? A grand for a cable commercial and 2500 for a Star Wars toy? Those were pretty nice.

my star wars aud. got a note from the seeker this a.m. that she wants to submit to the client. This'd be a nice one... But I'm also repped by these guys and they didn't send me the audition.... hmm.

Erik... not sure about your multiple reads. I really heard almost no variation from read to read there.

A grand for the cable commercial - sounds good on the surface.

But this is so much more than a "cable" spot. It's actually two spots that would run on ABC, plus cable, plus wild spots in LA, NY, Chi - PLUS possible internet and industrial use. Seriously - this should pay your mortgage for the year, not less than a month.

Good points; however, when I received this aud from Big Fish earlier that afternoon, it said "rate TBD." Not sure if it's $1000, or if Becky just puts that # in there so as to pique interest. FWIW, I've found BF to be (usually) pretty competitive as far as securing rates go....
