Hey guys,
I can't tell who's tort is better..different takes & tempos.I listened to other reads at their site, and they were pretty fast.
I dunno...Colin & Lee..you're just too freakin' good!
Deby- I could listen to you say breakfast all day!
anyway, back at ya with my tort & dystopia.
As far as HAL goes, based on all the 1's, I guess we all suck!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I do admit to watching one of my all time favorite movies ever since it came out, 2001 A Space Odyssey, at least once a year. So now that I've heard everyone else here is my spin on old Hal...

Noel --
Yep, that's the tone you need for ol' Hal! Sounds like you have seen that film more than once. Wink

Thanks for the comps Diane. I've been advised not to post demos here. I probably should be spending more time studying - but this one was too much fun. Unlike most of the others, I didn't even get a rating on this one. Not even a 0. So I guess my HAL9000 goes into the sub-space time warp. Maybe they don't like chess.

Oh my Gosh... I am NOT believing this. I got a "4" on my HAL (Southern tho' it be...). Unreal. If that's the case, I'd expect Noel to get a 15 on his.

BTW, landed a job tonight from another site, which is nice. An 11 minute medical narration. Things been a bit slow lately.

JJ ... The music you used under your movie trailer is the same type of music I use as a massage therapist. It is soothing relaxing, and beautiful.
Some people think the music is even boring, which is good, because they quit listening and just drift off to sleep. If this was a commercial for a massage resort the voice and music would be perfect!

I also think the line about absolute power needs to be dramatic. What a great line! Very Happy

Lee....You sound like your advertising something instead of telling a story. The radio announcer voice is flawless, but this is not for radio, and even if it is, it should not sound like it. I love the warmth in your voice though.

Steve... You sound more conversational than Lee, but you also sound slightly bored, tired, and soft. Think Drama Drama Drama! This is the future we are talking about, not what you had for breakfast. This is to die for sci fi !!!! Get excited about it. Absolute Power......Think about what those words really mean. What if your worst enemy had the power of God????? What if your best friend did? This is exciting. This could be dangerous. Drama Drama Drama.
