Hi all!

Just finished up this one for Glens Falls Hospital. They wanted a natural read to appeal to Gen X'ers with some ambient background noise. I voiced it, I mixed it, how'd I do?

'Ember... thought the read was terrific! Just terrific.

Found the background sfx a bit distracting. No, take that back... very distracting. Not your fault; the mix was fine. I'm sure the client wanted it, but not sure what the point was. The message would have been SO much more powerful if you'd done it dry or with just some nice subtle, emotional mux under it.

Congrats September, nice read...I submitted one also but I don't dare post it...I just listened to it again and it sounded like I was the Grim Reaper predicting everyone's death from a stroke, heart attack or cancer...Yours was great...very natural, friendly.. and I think the back ground noise was ok...made me feel like we were two friends chatting at the hospital cafeteria enjoying some creamed corn and turkey loaf Very Happy
glad you got the job..it was really good Very Happy

thanks guys! It was fun to do something more natural. I'm going to go with two basic sounds for next year: sexy and Gen X Wink
