Yesterday I replied to a lead in Spanish. It was for 16 TV spots x 13 weeks w/an option to renew at the same rate, all for $3600.. Even though it was low I replied to it because of the renew option. Today I got the same lead saying that it was an error and now it pays $1800 for 16 spots, that's $112,50 per TV spot.
Am I wrong or this is an insult to all of us?

thx,

Juan Carlos

It's simply called "Volume" Juan. If you were buying one sweatshirt for yourself you would expect to pay around $10. But if you were buying 100 sweatshirts to sell you would probably pay $5 ea. I have several loyal clients (8yrs) that I charge only $125 for a finished spot BUT they each give me 5-10 spots a month. These production houses/agencies have to mark-up their product too. Being extremely efficent, knowledgeable and fast at your profession is also a plus.

In most cases we are the "wholesaler" and the agency is the "retailer".
