Way to go Cira.

I'm hoping you got at least $48.54 everytime you say the word fresh. Could they have actually figured out a way to get the word fresh in there another 12 or 18 times?

But what I don't understand is why every dog food maker talks about the flavor, flavor flavor, when we all know that dogs like to lick their butts.

Wouldn't butt flavored dog food taste the best to a dog?

I won't even ge into the "How do they know the dog food tastes good question?"

Well, I'm sure this was a nice little holiday surprise, just don't blow it all on egg nogg and gum drops.

Hey Cira!

Congratulations! What a nice holiday gift for you. Kramer might have called it a Festivus Miracle!

Thanks for the support, Everyone. You guys are the best.

Yeah, "FRESH!"...jeez. At first, they had me really punching that word, and I gingerly cautioned them that it might be a bit....well...overkill? I also tried to tell them that the copy was a bit....well....awkward? Apparently, they forgave me because they shipped some product to me on dry ice. And my own dogs didn't like it, proving that they do indeed prefer smelling and licking their own, and eachother's, butts.

Merry Festivus, for the Rest of Us!

I like the fact that it was made in small batches. Too bad your dogs didn't care for it.

What you don't know is that it also makes a wonderful holiday pate. Just bring to room temperature and serve on your favorite cracker, toast point or baguette. Dogs may not like it, but what do they know? Try someon a druinken holiday reveler and watch the real fun begin.

Did I mention that it's fresh and made in small batches?

I am reminded of a past gig of mine.

A number of years ago I got hired to do a radio spot and went in to the studio to record it with 3 or 4 agency people directing me, etc. Everytime I would read a sentence they'd hit the talkback mic and say "Hang on we're doing a rewrite." After about 50 grueling minutes of doing my absolute best and having a script that looked like a team of drunken doctors had written the Gettysburg address on, they said "We're going to give up on this one. I'm not sure what we were originally thinking."

I'm just wishing that I had gotten a cassette of the whole session. I remember at one point making a suggestion as to how a line could be rewritten and they said "Yeah, why not?" Another point in the session one of the team asked the writer what one of the lines meant and the writer said "I don't know".

Luckily for me this wasn't one of those sessions gone awry that got blamed on the actor, although it has become "that which we never speak about."

I believe that script originally had the word fresh in it about 15 times.

Happy Holidays.

I somehow missed that retort. I was thinking more along the lines of one of those English water biscuits, but a Keebler cracker might just do the trick.

"Pate." Great word.

Maybe the copy should say "only the finest horse renderings and used fast food grease is used in our products."

Also reminds me of a Carlin bit...

"Homemade goodness in a can."

Cira, yep the copy wasn't great but you are a Mistress of making a silk purse from a sow's ear Wink

...and now I want Ben & Jerry's Festivus Ice Cream: Each pint of Festivus contains a sassy batch of brown sugar cinnamon ice cream loaded with gingerbread cookies and a ginger caramel swirl....mmmmmm
