There doesn't seem to have been much action in the Who Got the Gig thread lately, so I thought I'd post one. After submitting more than 300 custom demos at Voices, I finally scored with this one.

Congrats, Lee! It's always great to hear when one of the genuinely 'good guys/gals' gets one. Voices-dot-com is a tough nut to crack. I don't land that many jobs thru them either and you never know if you're up against 50 other auditions or 5000. OR if yours was ever heard. So extra special kudos to you!

You do the host announcer thing as well as anyone: anticipatory, with a touch of merriment and subdued excitement.

Like I said in an earlier post...somewhere....many,many days ago...I love your reads. It took me close to 300 audtions to ever land my first gig too - now you're on your way! Just gets better from here. Keep auditioning and keep the faith! You're one of the best on the mic Lee!

It's not my first successful audition, just my first on Voices-dot-com. I have been debating whether to discontinue my premium membership but this job will more than cover a year's subscription, so I guess I'll give it one more chance. Meanwhile, I have heard from two Voice123 seekers in the past couple of days but I honestly can't tell if they are actually hiring me or just fishing for more information. And I still have a couple more that are up in the air from last month. Fortunately, my real world clients have been keeping me busy this month.
