Hi!

I just finished completing a fairly long voice over project and I need to write a bio that will be published in writing along with the voice over materials. I need some recommendations on what to write in the bio, how long should it be and are their any specific do's and dont's? Obviously I want to make sure that it is professional and tailored for voice-over work.

Should I leave contact information in the bio? Some sources I have read say that in a bio you should write your contact information, however it was not for the voice-over industry and it was not for publication. I would really like to leave contact details because it could, maybe a small chance, but could bring more work in the future.

I would appreciate any assistance you may have.

Thanks in advance!

Jeff

How about:
"Jeff Gunsch works from his studio in ........ and is making huge strides in the international voicing industry. His authoritative and friendly tone was a major factor in the success of (whatever the project is), and his versatility makes him suitable for a range of projects.
Before turning to voiceover, Jeff (wrestled alligators and herded sheep for a living - or whatever).
He is (married with twelve childred, or whatever.)
Jeff can be contacted at www.alligatorssheepvoice.com (Or whatever)."
Short and sweet.
Voice On!

Hi Robert,

Thanks for your quick feedback, that's pretty simple and it seems it would work fine.

Thank you.

You know Robert, it is kind of funny you mention sheep as I am from Wyoming! ha ha ha But was not a rancher or a cowboy. What a coincidence. Smile
