Hello from a newbie!
I'm a little stressed right now because I can't listen to my demos after the site tells me that they've uploaded just fine. They're small files, and in the correct format. I need help with this. We all paid way too much to be let down this way. Is there something I'm missing here?
Thanks,
Mike |

| One demo is on your site and loads just fine. |

Not sure what you're doing that I'm not..........
It just sits there and says "loading" when other people's demos open and play instantly.....
Do I need a special player to listen to my own demo?? I'm using windows media player. |

Plays fine for me, too. Be sure you're not missing any Flash player plug-ins for whatever browser you're using. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

You may have the same plug-ins I have. The player will load, counting up to the seconds duration. After it stops the count up, hit the play button again and it should play. |

I figured it out!!!
First-- using your recording software, reload the file in question.
Second-- hit "save as", and change the attributes to 128kbs MONO, and hit save. It will ask if you want to replace the existing file. Say yes.
Third-- go back to the page with your demos and click "upload new demo". After it does it, you will see it added to your list of demos. When you hit play, it should play immediately. Mine did!
Fourth-- delete your slow kbs stereo demo, and redo IT with your software.
I'm so relieved I can hardly stand it. Thanks for your input.

That's odd because some of my demos on my site here are stereo and they play just fine. Perhaps you were saving them as very high sampled files, such as 320kbps? While mine ARE stereo here, I only save them out as 128k. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

| I can't explain it either Scott. I was using 96kbs stereo, and then I changed it like I described. I can't listen to many of the demos, and then others play instantly. For instance- Melba's demos all say "loading" when I try to listen to them. I looked for a plug-in I might be missing, but couldn't find one. |
