I need to try harder to get the percentage return from Voice123 up as a proportion of my income. In 2007 it didn't even get as far as 0.1%

I'll put my back into it in 2008, Girl Scout's Honour.

I seem to have been misunderstood. What I failed to articulate was that it's good thing that there are other avenues IN VO that we can use to make money. In fact, my online research--including pros and dabblers alike--has shown that NOT ONLY should a talent NOT rely solely on sites like this and TOS--depending on the pontificator--instead, these sites should actually fall somewhere between 4th and 10th place in your total marketing efforts.

Well that brings something up. I feel like I'm covered, and about to get underway as far as my main marketing "campaign" goes. But I'd be interested as to what the veterans would suggest for new blood to do as far as marketing goes in the beginning.

Now maybe some of you don't want to share your trade secrets, but can't hurt the new folks to ask.

By the way, I've been on V123 for about two weeks, and I have tripled the cost of the membership, as well as scored several other gigs online, but not from V123. January's looking like a good month.

Not bragging, just giving a point of view from someone just beginning here. So, pro's, what do you say? Marketing strategies for those of us still blending in with the grass?

Ciao!
