I tried recording with the Rode Pod Caster USB mic but it picks up my laptop noise.

I am interested in advice toward good (cheap) Equipment for recording. Is a PC recording system a good way to go?

Thanks.

John,
if V123 had a system, that automaticly paid $1 to every Savvy-member, each time someone posted a question like the above, we could all retire early... Wink

What you need to do, is make a pot of coffee, put the kids to bed, install wife with a season of "Friends" on the DVD, and then spend some time to read the "geek" forum - there's tons of info about good equipment on a budget, several "PC vs. Mac" discussions, and anything else already in there to make you wiser.

It's not that we don't bother helping you here, not at all, but reading up yourself in the end will give you more info than a few single advice here.

Then, if you have anything specific you want further info on, we're here.

Yes, What Jacob said.

And I still want to know if you read my 'sticky' at the top of the 'newbies' section. That's a good place to start, too.

Yup, should have mentioned that also, Scott did a great job with that - read it! Smile
