I've been a member for a little while now, and I finally got up the courage to jump in here. Being out here in such a small town makes it so tough to hear anything good enough to help me learn.
I've spent a lot of time training to write better commercials, now I need to spend some time learning how to voice them better.
I appreciate all the hard work you all do every day, and if I can take a few furniture blowout sales or Kia commercials out of the way so that you can do the fun stuff, I'm ready to jump in! |

Welcome. I really liked the sound on the Madison Minnasota spot. How did you get that sound? |

Thank you Deby! I got that sound by rolling off the bass at 650 Hz, and rolling off the high end at 6.5 KHz. I also played around with two separate Echo and Reverb plug ins on my old SAW Pro. I've got a similar sound built for my newer Adobe Audition system, but for Madison, I still like to fire up the old Win98 for that sound.
Thanks!!! |

I still haven't mastered the echo on Digital Perfomer. When your talking about rolling off the low and high end, your talking about compression right?
The compressed stuff I know how to do. What I really like is the way it pops open real big on the last 2 words. I tried doing that on the song I have in the demo forum. |
