Just dropped in to say hello!

Fairly new member, I joined at the start of the year, and hope to branch out from the local work I currently do. (On air and commericial v/overs on The Bridge.).

Originally from England, (used to be a club DJ! and will gladly admit I love Disco!) I'm now Stateside in Rhode Island! My personal passion is chasing and photographing airliners.. Check out my airliner gallery:

A question which perhaps someone can answer..
I havent signed up for Premium (yet), how do you submit an audition for a proposal as a 'basic' member? Where do you find the verification code?
Any help, and advice would be appreciated, I have a couple of demos on my profile page!

Looking forward to getting to know you!

All the best

Geoff

Hi Geoff and welcome to the forum.

The catch is, you can't reply to leads until you become a premium member. You'll get dozens emailed to you, but you can't audition for them directly until you caugh up the $295 yearly fee.

Is it worth it? Depends upon who you ask. Read around the boards and decide for yourself.

Best of luck to you!

Allison

Thanks Allison, nice to meet you!

I had a feeling that was the case, but sometimes you have to invest to create! I'll just have to work extra hard the next couple of weeks, or better yet, hope my Powerball numbers come in!

If you win Powerball, you don't need to invest in a career in VO's. You can retire my brother! Laughing

Hey Allison,

Just being checked your profile and played your first demo, and what is it? Play Powerball and win $150 million.

Retire? I love my work, perhaps I'd by my boss out, and have him retire! - Now there's a new way to stick it to your boss huh?

ITA.... several yrs ago when the Powerball was in excess of $300 million, my boss asked me what I would do if I won. I said "I'll send you a postcard". Laughing He never lets me forget that!

Like you, if I won that kind of money, I wouldn't retire completely. I'd stick to VO and voice acting for complete entertainment. Isn't that the main reason why we do this kind of work anyway?

~Allison~
