Hello all you delightful voiceover artists from around the world!!
I am new to Voice123, so I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a radio dj from Norway - been doing radio for about 16 years now, and was through my work introduced to the wonderful world of voiceover
I am at the moment upgrading my homestudio equipment, from Shure KSM 27 mic with a Symetrix 528E, to probably a SSL Alpha Channel pre-amp, and I'm thinking about buying a Rode K2 tube mic. If anyone have any comments about that - feel free!
Even though I do my voiceover work in Norwegian - please let me know what you think about my demo on my site.
Looking forward to explore more on this site - and get to know you people!
Have a great day!
Greetings
Dan

Hei paa deg, Richard.
Likeved "Undercover."
Men det kan jo godt vaere at man foretrekker litt "bells and whistles" i gamlelandet, saa du maa penest ta mine ord med en klyppe salt.
Jeg har jo ikke hatt mere en ti jobber paa Norsk i de siste to aar.
Stemme Frem!

Well hello there Robert - and thanx for listening to my demo
The movietrailers you thought were overproduced, was not produced by me - I only delievered voice for them... btw - do you think my "movietrailervoice" works?
So you're from Norway? where from? I would love to hear your Norwegian works - any chance for that?
AND - what a great voice you have, wow - indeed "voice from above"!
Thanx again and have a great day!
- Dan

You bet your lutefisk I am, Dan. In fact, I'm widely considered to be the best Canadian domiciled Oslo-born Polish/Brit/Norwegian voicer in the world.
(Jadah? Francisco? Richard? What happened to such solid Norwegian names as Sven-Bjarne Hjortenssen?)
As to my production comments, the clips having been professionally tweaked does not necessarily mean they should go on the demo. I have some screaming radio ads announcing Wild Ladies Night and Romping Stomping Time, but wouldn't dream of showcasing them.
I believe that potential clients want to hear Dan Hagen, and not the clever acrobatics of some unknown production department.
And I cannot find my Norwegian demo, which is strange. I know I sent it to a Swedish and a Dutch voice site just last month.
All I have is this remote-recorded quickie I sent someone a few months back.
Haa det bra, og paa gjensyn...(gjenhoere maybe?)
Voice On!

I see your point Robert... I will as soon as I get my new mic for my home studio make a few readings without any soundfx... thanx for the advice.
Btw - I've been living in Norway whole my life and never tasted "lutefisk"..... can you believe that?
I took a quick listen to your Norsk demo, and hey... not bad, even though I do hear that you have been out of thecountry a few years.. he he....
Btw - care to tell me which sites you are referring to that needs Norwegian voiceover artists?
Jacob.. thanx... this place definately need more vikings!
C'yall!
