Got a private lead today for a faux movie read...client dug it...I dug him...He dug into his pockets...and I can dig that. It was a "lurve" fest I tell ya. Seriously, it was just a kick to make some headway. Let that be a lesson to ya...keep crankin' em out. Somethin's gotta give.

You speaketh the truth, Dan.
I kept crankin' 'em out...and then gave.
Up my subscription, that is; which explains why you're getting all that work.
It was, though, just a question of time for you.
You've got serious stuff, man.
Vaunt On!

my 2nd Two Star rating
Instead of canoodling with a cute guy on Valentines....I'm doing auditions and I get rewarded with a 2 star rating.....Frankly I'd rather be canoodling!
Ofcourse the average rating from Ed Morris Honda was 2.2. I guess they wanted to spread the love around on Valentines.

Colin....I like it.....I just thought it needed smile at least on the circle of hearts line. That's a smile line if I ever heard one.
Do I need to come tickle you! (he he)

I'm in the 2 star club myself since the other day. Average rating was a 2.9 on some medical thing.
I do a lot of medical narration too.
It dropped me down to 60%. My career is over.

Well I'm still in the 88% but it still bums me out.
I realize this is not my best work....but 2 stars. I wonder if it was the bit rate or the read.

I assume that was the "VO for Coach in a Medical Simulator" gig. I also got a 2. Lately, I've done more medical stuff than almost anything else, including a Voice123 job I auditioned for in October or November and just recorded this week.

I hear ya, Robert (BTW...talk about a set of pipes! you gottem, Mister)...anyhoo, my goal on this site has always been to ingratiate myself with production houses so as to become part of their voice line-up. I hate to audition...to me it's almost a waste of time...why did I make a demo? Funny thing is...and this is especially true on TOS, I see the same multi-media companies posting over and over again and I think to myself..."Jebus, don't you have a stable of talent by now?" All the voices you've listened to and you don't have a suggestion for the client? If I were a producer, I just wouldn't have the time to sift through all the auditions with each and every project.
Signed,
Baffled

Dan,
Many seekers do use voices again -- I have had repeat clients from here.
If they don't do that, either they are looking for a very different voice ---or, maybe if they really foster a relationshiip with a human being, they might have to pay them better. Lots of seekers here are looking for bargains -- and there are plenty to be found.
Colin --
That Circle of Hearts read -- I auditioned for that one on voices last year! It stayed open for a full 3 months. So now I see they have reopened it for a male voice. Hmm.
