We are a new company. I'm in charge of sourcing voice talent for our products. I need to get some advice on what one should expect when dealing with voice talent on a daily volume basis and with quick turn-arounds.
Thanks in advance.

Rob:
Welcome to the forum.
Same-day turnarounds are the norm from the good people toiling away here.
That, of course, presupposes that the assignment is not overly long or complex.
Rare are the voice talents who can voice with consistency for more than five hours in a day, but I don't imagine you need the Encyclopaedia narrated by Friday.
Anything of a 20-minute to 90-minute final should be do-able in a day.
Good luck with the new company.
(That was almost shameless pandering there...)
No, really. |

Hi Rob - welcome!,
I normally quote 24-48 hour turnaround on small projects (under 5 minutes).
Longer projects depend on current scheduling.
It's always easier to predict if the work is somewhat regular. That allows the VA's to carve out the time every week for you. I sure none of us would mind that!
See you on the forums,
Joe J Thomas

I think robert is right if it is raw, and Joe is closer if it is fully produced with lots of SFX and stuff. _________________ 865-686-8925

Within 48 hours, depending on how tall my stack is that day, for commercials and short narrations or a short list of IVR prompts--usually within 24.
If it is something longer, 48-72 hours. |

Man, I tell you. Anyway.
Rob, the usual time is within 24 to 48 hours depending on the complexity of the recording, most of the talents on voice123 are able to deliver raw or finished audio fairly quick.
When you need some one for one of your projects, feel free to use the site including your dateline, they should be able to help you. |
