I have no idea who Jason Lee is. I'm old. I read about "attitude" and gave it that. What have I got to lose?

Colin:
You're not alone. I didn't know who Jason Lee was either until I looked him up on You Tube to sample his voice. He's the guy that plays Earl in My Name is Earl. (I never watch the show) Apparrently they wanted a Jason Lee type voice and not the character 'Earl' because of Earl's accent.
Makes me confused about exactly what they meant by attitude when they asked for it. The clips of Jason Lee I found had no trace of 'attitude' or even 'sarcasm'. You sure gave them 'attitude' though. They may decide that yours is what they actually wanted and who cares about Jason Lee.

Vic --
Lest you think I am starting a Vic Harris fan club -- I've still got to say (being the sweetie that I am) that you must know who Jason Lee is. You caught his cadences well in your read. Your voice is a couple of tones lower, however, so it wasn't dead-on. But very close. So, unless they wanted a real impersonation of him, you'd fit the bill on that one, I think.

Vic,
I appreciate the comments about my NY accent. I went ahead and submitted for the Water Bottle thing, too. They opened it, but so far they're not giving out ratings.
Your deliveries on these are good, but man, I just find it hard to get past the mega-compression it sounds like you're using. It sounds like you're stuffed down inside of a cardboard barrel with a blanket on top of you.
Can you post one of these reads pre-compression so we can hear Vic Harris without any post-FX? I'd REALLY like to hear your voice clean.

Diane, Thanks. I am now blushing.
Scott, I don't think it is a compression issue, I used very little. I think it is an EQ pre-set I sometimes use. I does sound a little muffled.

Lee -- I went back a bit and listened to your Franky and Diabetes spot (thanks so much for the kind appraisal of mine -- I was happy with it.)
Your Franky had a real nice NY tone, but not tough enough I think to support the mild expletives toward the end.
The PSA had your wonderful pro announcer read -- I had the feeling, though, they might have been going for more conversational. At least on the woman's version that I got.
