Made more corrections in my "Studio" and changed the pace a little. Am I getting any closer?

I'm probably not the best to qualify the quality of a studio. I think it sounded fine there though.

I will tell you I think it sounded like you were "acting". It's obviously written as a humorous script which I think you definetely picked up on. However, you tried to make your "acting" funny. Eee Gad, how do I explain this. Humor is something that comes out organically. It's like when you laugh at someone's actions because they don't themselves realize how goofy they're being. However, you saw with this script that it's intended to make people laugh, and so you came out swingin' with the intent to be funny. Now those people who at times we laugh at because of their strange humorous actions, have no idea that they're being funny. So I'd say make some different choices to let the script be funny for you instead of you trying to be funny/humorous.

My 2 cents! May you get many gigs good sir!

What kind of mic are you using? What is the frequency response
of that mic? What kind of room are you in? Sound treatments? Here, I put a 5:1 comp ratio, a bit of a high eq, and some limiting on it. . .it sounds a little better now. Watch your nose noises.

I'm not an expert but I'm not new to this either. To me, this recording sounds like it was recorded in a poor acoustically treated area, if at all.

I think posting all the details that Casey asked for will help people analyze your problem in more detail.

The "Studio" is a 2005 GMC Yukon.

The Microphone is a USB "Blue Snowball"
I have no Idea what the specs are on the mic

The script was written by me.

Is there any hope that I'll ever make money at this gig or should I just quit now?

(deep breath)
Okay, Timothy, you asked.
Honestly?
You stand a better chance of making money as a pole dancer.
I'm not being mean here, truly I'm not.
But this kind of stuff you posted here doesn't win any jobs.
You are probably among the (quite literally) tens - or HUNDREDS - of thousands of folks who think this is a pretty easy way to make some money.

Trust me.
It isn't.

That's all I needed to read. Sell your snowball or keep it around for fun.

It's like going to the driving range and taking a few whacks and saying "can I join the Pro Tour?"

Sorry.
