Lee:

Hey, is that you I see occasionally drawing the Mid-day 3 and Mid-day Play 4 numbers on Fox 61?

So thanks to the unstinting work of moderator Erik Sheppard, I was finally able to log in to Savvy again.
And what do I read but spam and filth and nudity. Then I escape to this little haven and get what?

Lee and Travis spewing on about enhanced power balls!

I leave you guys alone for a couple of weeks......

(I must give the edge to Lee. He sounds as if he's been doing those for a while. Understandably. Good stuff, all).

Not posting much on L&R anymore but I just couldn't help sharing this one since it is SO out of character for me!

This is a lead from elsewhere and the character description was for an energy drink:

"Male, a road-raged Professional Wrestler or stressed out caffeine addict"

I'd be lying if I didn't admit that Michael Keaton's "Beetlejuice" character didn't inspire this read!

Soctt, VERY Beetlejucian. NICE.

Along those same line, here's one that was a lead for a "used car" sounding kind of guy.

Here are my Texas and Olympic Trials auds, which earned me a 2 and a 3, respectively. The silver lining is that the avg for these two (according to my audition outbox) is also 2 and 3, respectively. So I'm right in there with all the other huddled masses.

Scott, I liked your Turbo read for Big Fish. Also reminded me a bit of Stinky Pete from Toy Story (which may or may not be a good thing? But I'll take Kelsey Grammer's paycheck....)

My try at the Olympic trials -- which they didn't care for either.
Tried two different approaches as well.

Nice Olympic trials guys.
I would have loved to have stabbed at that one but it had 76 auditions by the time I got to it....
smart sigh....

Well since everyone's posting their Olympic losers, here's mine that garnered a very mid-pack '3'. Travis, do you submit everything produced? I love your voice but honestly the music you used behind your Olympic submission sounded very 1970's. I honestly think that - overall - you're better served delivering dry auditions. But we've been 'round that block MANY times on this forum!

I'm sure you're right, Scott. But "Getting a Voice123 job" is not why I'm submitting auditions there. I like to "finish" my little pieces of art before sending them out.
