Yes, Mister soft-and-mellow puppy dog has gotten one of the very few 'hard sell' spots I ever do and ironically, it comes a bit on the heels of doing an intro for a similar product (Mother's Wax) although that was NOT hard-sell. Anyway, it's always nice to get that e-mail saying "We want you!"

Audition attached.

I always try to slate it in a way to where the seeker won't get turned off even before they hear the audition, 'Ember. I wouldn't want them to make a hasty judgment on the slate alone.

Smart move! And it wasn't over the top at all. Just a bit of growl on the last bit of "audition". Should I be worried that I have your normal slate memorized? Wink

Congratulations. I guess you could consider that read to be "hard sell" compared to your normal style but it certainly isn't one of those in-your-face, annoying, Billy Mays reads. I wonder if the client might have heard your Mothers Polish spot and, being in a related business, said "I want that guy."

Lee -

I have recurring nightmares of my home being hit by a tornado. My father was haunted in his dreams by a white horse.

I have a feeling that your nemesis will always be - Billy Mays!!

scared

Hard sell?

I guess you'd find that one in the end of the 'soft sell' pool in your backyard that's closest to the 'hard sell' pool in the back yard three houses down the street.

That's pushin' it just enough. Good job!

David, ya gotta understand that for a guy who has narrated self-hypnosis DVDs, this is about as hard-sell as I can get!

Nice read Scott -- I wouldn't call that "Hard sell" at all -- but had energy to spare.
Congrats!!
