So I get an email today, that included a script and a note saying how they liked my read and all, and would like to book me.
WOW, I said.
Turns out it was from a lead answered back on Feb 1st.
I had forgotten all about it, but I when I chatted with the producer, he said they had been going back and forth with client on script, production, etc.
I will be doing the narration for an interactive exhibit at the Tuskgegee Airmen Historic site.
Strangely, I was given a 3 rating when they opened my lead back then.

---

This past week I was booked for one of the characters (a teacher) in a medical education video.

---

So far April has been good to me.

Hey JJ - Congrats - I've been waiting for the script since February ... the seeker contacted me on the 6th to clarify my proposal, followed by some email exchanges over the month. Oh well, no hard feelings, just would have been nice to hear it from the seeker that they decided on a different direction.

JJ -- the Tuskegee Airmen historic site is really good! I may go back this summer -- just to hear what you'll add! Congratulations.

JJ -- Congratulations! That's excellent news for you because you got a job that I'm guessing is well deserved. It's good news for the rest of us because it's a reminder that the same thing could happen to anyone here. Some job we might have thought was long gone could suddenly fall back into the picture.

P.S. If you run into my old pal Norm Thibeault, give him my regards.

Well, today I discovered the slight downside of posting to "Who Got The Gig!"

I had my session with the voice seeker who had hired me (and other voices for the project). We were discussing V123, and he told me that starting on Tuesday, he starting getting 'emails' from voice talent inquiring about the lead, and if he were STILL looking for talent.

My feeling is, if we post that we have gotten the gig, why should others see that as a open the door to solicit? Once it's booked, it done!

JJ - I sent you a private email.

For the record here, I didn't re-solicit the gig - I did send an email thanking them, and saying to feel free to contact me in the future if I could be of service.

It was simply my way of saying no biggie that you didn't pick me, but if you have any work for me in the future, please keep me in mind.

Great. Probably means yet another orange-lettered warning page to be clicked past.
