| Why is it that NFL mock drafts are done every year by dozens of people, yet nobody ever gets more than the first three picks right?

Why is it that now I've seen this video, I can't get the melody out of my head? What is it about a song that makes it stick in your head?

And Allen, I keep forgetting to ask you: What does bushhog your yard mean? (From a couple of pages back....)
Bush Hog? Do tell!

Thanks Scott Po. .... Bushhog sounds kind of like a flail mower....big scary machines!
Makes me cast my mind back to the days - pre-modeling, pre-acting, pre-voiceover, when I was completely immersed in horticulture, landscaping, building rock retaining walls, tree pathology, and wanted to get into forestry management.... and knew how to drive an 18-gear semi and spent a lot of time on a backhoe and a bobcat.....
Funny how times change as the years go by. Thanks for the picture of the Bushhog....
And sorry Scott Pa. for the melody now stuck in your head! Funny video though, hey?

The Force is strong! I wonder if those people in the poster were the original cast....

I had to re-visit the "Why is It" thread to ask this question: why is it that 90% of all aliens in sci-fi stories spell their names with an apostrophe? (Sometimes more than one.)

Why is it...
...that even though I got the same microphone and same preamp as that John Le Fountain-guy, I still don't land any gigs???
Oh, and why is it...
...it's called a "WhisperRoom™", if people outside supposedly don't have to whisper, when you're in the box recording???
And by the way, why is it...
...that you Americans measure in feet and yards??? I use a size 10 shoe... Did the guy who invented the foot-scale have really huge feet or what??? And the dude that invented "yards"... was his own yard a small yard or a big yard?? Did he measure his front yard or his backyard?
WHY IS IT???!!!

Why is it that all the cute Danish voice-over stars named Jacob, (who also happen to be sound engineer wizards and own cool furniture), are already married?

...that on the final regular series episode of The Flintstones Fred's grandfather talks about fighting the Germans and being stationed in France?
And why did the Flintstones and Rubbles, in one of their subsequent Christmas specials, have a storyline about putting on a community theater production of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. And why were they dressed in Victorian costumes?
It doesn't bother me that they have television and Hollyrock and Rockvegas, but the anachronistic references make me crazy. And don't even get me started on The Great Gazoo...talk about jumping the megalodon...

Didn't you answer your own question, Max? Who could ask for anything more?
And don't go into Toonland, Melba. The Flintstone stuff is easy: the setting was obviously a parallel and animated universe where the space/time continuum was distorted. DUH.
More mysteriously, with my four-year old I'm obliged to watch Little Bear every day. Why is he naked, while his parents are over-dressed? What's the Poop 'n Scoop deal with that Big Red Dog?
And - most upsetting - how on earth did the delectable Jessica get stuck with Roger Rabbit?
Nah...it's all weirder than even Smartcast. Let's not go there.
Cels On!

Ah, yes! The space/time continuum distortion. I should remember my Hawking.
Regarding Jessica Rabbit...wasn't it Dr. Ruth who said, "It is not what you have, but rather what you do with it!"??? Not sure.
I love Little Bear! Do you remember him wanting a coat to wear in the snow? That was strange. I mean...why weren't they hibernating?
Many years ago my son was watching Roadrunner and asked me where the coyote got all those gadgets and contraptions he was always trying to use to catch the roadrunner. I said, "Oh, he gets those mail order from the Acme Company." His reply, after a moment: "Why does he not just order a meal?"
