I and many others received some bittersweet news via e-mail yesterday.

Our own Captain Grit - Victor Harris - has decided to hang up the mic and pursue another career path.
Through years of forum exchanges, the occasional telephone call, and dozens of e-mails, I've come to know Vic as more than just another bold VO. He is strong, devoted, resilient, opinionated, and wears his heart on his sleeve.

I also know that he has helped dozens of struggling VO's, be it through production or pep talks.

Vic also sacrificed much of his health in service to his country in Iraq.

He's a good man, and I'm going to miss him.
Good luck, soldier, and Godspeed.

Vic On!

Thanks for posting this Robert.

I am one of those newbies that Vic has helped out. I owe a lot to him for any success I have (and to others as well, you know who you are).

Vic is one of those fellas that when he believes in something he will support it through and through. I have a deep and abiding respect and gratitude toward him.

I also have had the pleasure to get to know him on a personal level. He's such a supportive friend and he just cracks me up! He's got a wonderful wife at home who is so supportive (and a crack up herself!) and 3 children, two of whom are also serving in the military. I am truly going to miss him while he is deployed.

Hats off to you Vic. I pray that you and your boys find your way home safely after your duty and that you will be kept safe while deployed.

Personally, I have not had the privilege to meet this man, but I am honored to have read of his name and learned of him.

Vic ON indeed!

So sad to hear Vic has left us without his voice -- a talented man -- and a great guy from all indications. So indeed our loss.

I wish him all the best, and every happiness in whatever new role he takes on.
