Not from 123. This is wrong on so many levels:

Looking for someone to contract voice work out to on a monthly basis.

Have a video website that has new videos and trailers every month and need someone who has a voice EXACTLY LIKE DON LAFONTAINE.

Don't apply if you don't sound EXACTLY LIKE DON LAFONTAINE.

It pays $20/trailer. The trailers on less then a minute long and have few lines.

Sigh.

Hey, if you watch Comedy Central at all -- I love that promo for Mind of Mencia where some suit is in an interview being asked what kind of salary he's looking for, and then the door bursts open and Carlos Mencia comes in, guns blazing, saying, "Whatever he says, I'll do it for half!!!"

Funny stuff.

I responded to that lead and told them I'd do it for half that.

I'm kidding.

Dangit... can't apply, even though I have THE EXACT SAME PREAMP AS DON LAFONTAINE.... but I STILL don't sound EXACTLY like him, for some reason...

Bloody idiots!

Amazingly, SmartCast hasn't sent me that one yet. I don't know what's the matter. They've sent me all the other 2-bit leads.

Seriously, I have to believe this is somebody's idea of a joke.

I did. He might need the extra spending money.

just a thought ..... the seeker should be told that The Don would have every right to sue his cheap buttocks, and the talent for stealing his voice...

Bettye Zoller wrote an interesting piece about that..

Gee, I bet the script for that is really strong. It's not like they're relying on a gimmicky re-hashed crutch or anything.

I think it would be a hoot if Don actually responded (by auditioning) for a few of those "sound like Don LaFontaine" leads... then we step back and watch the fun as the voice seeker gives him a 3 rating.
