Pronunciation help, please...

Once again I have a short term VO job including some names, where I want to make sure that my pronunciation is absolutely correct:

The first one is ex Nirvana musician "Kurt Cobain": How do you US VO pronounce his name correctly, since his name is a mix of German and French...

And then I have the two american writers "Jack Kerouac" and "Thomas Pynchon"... Hmm, if somebody is absolutely sure about the pronunciation and even has the mic plugged in... Wink

Thomas -- You probably don't want to pronounce Cobain's first name the way you would in German, which to our American ears would sound like "Koort". You want to say it more like "Kert." (Rhymes with shirt.)
