Hello all ... I've been waiting to get all of my equipment in and now I"m a little less than satisfied. But I just recorded myself blubbering..lol . Mind you I've had the flu for the last 4 days and my voice is trashed. Maybe some of you kind people could tell me some changes I could make to better the sound. I know my sound floor isn't the greatest.

I'm using a Behringer B1 condenser and a Fast Track Pro. I have all kinds of gain issues with this thing by the way. The only thing that seemed to make a difference was when I finally listened to it through Audition 2.0 software... Weird!! Anyway... here's the file...

Look forward to your comments and feedback ..

Thanks

By the way ... I don't normally studder so much !! lol

Dude, Welcome. It doesn't sound all that bad. With some EQ, Compression and Normalize...it will prob sound fine. Wink

Flu or no flu...I thought it sounded pretty good on my computer speakers at least. Just a little "puff" or two here and there but aside from that (pop filter?), sounded great.

Congrats on getting your home studio up and running. Good luck

Cheers,
Cameron

Don-
The guys are right, the sound quality is pretty good.

Get better soon, but while you are sick, look for some robitussin spots.

George, Thanks for the pointer .. lol .. I swear this has been the worst cold I've had in years.

I finally got some feedback from M-Audio and I'm going to try some things when I get home tonight. They told be because of the impedence on some condenser mics you have to connect external power to the pre-amp... We'll see.

Thank you to the rest of you guys for your comments...

And away we go....

Oh, another question. Anyone know where to get some decent copy to use for practice? Thanks...
