Lynne,
I'm a strong believer in the law of attraction. There's a movie out you can watch called "The Secret". I believe Oprah just did a segment on her show about it. Ever since I got into what that movie showed me I've had alot of incredibly positive things happen in my life. There is no doubt in my mind that my strong belief has empowered me to attract all these really cool things.
One of the ways you can attract what you want is by writing it down, putting it on your wall etc. Just as long as it's around you and you're thinking about it. Your mind will send out to the universe the vibes of what you want and it will always meet you halfway or better.
In the movie "The Secret" they interview a man who decided he wanted to attract all the things he wanted by making murals. So he made a bunch putting pictures of everything he wanted from a to z. And these were really nice things like anything from sports cars to his dream home. After making his murals he suddenly landed a pretty steady job but it forced him to move his family to the specific city it was in. So the murals went into storage for five years until he landed his dream job. It put him on easy street and he was now able to buy everything he could've possibly wanted. Hard work defenitely pays off but here's where the whole law of attraction hits a bullseye. With the new job he was able to buy his family a nice big home. After moving in he was working in his office trying to figure out where to put the boxes of his murals which had just arrived out of storage. His son comes in and starts poking around at the boxes and he tells him "go play in the play room". His sons interest is peaked by the boxes though so he asks "what's inside them". "Well son, these are my murals that I made of all the things I wanted to attract into my life". He brings them out and begins showing them to his son and explains how it all works. Then his son notices something very strange about one and says "Dad isn't that our new house on this mural?"..... That's right folks, the very house he wanted to attract as his dream home, is the very one he moved into without even realizing it.
Just yesterday night I actually taped a lottery ticket to my ceiling! And BAM today I won. I needed to make rent last month so desperately and I was waiting for the check for the commercial I did to come in. I heard from a friend you can gain wealth in the strangest way by cleaning. My buddy needed help moving out of his place and into a new one. So I fully took advantage of that and spent 8 hours helping him. The next day which was the 31st, I spent an hour cleaning up the neighborhood just picking up garbage everywhere. Not only did I get an $80 check from the government but ALSO the check for the commercial the next day!
So, that is the secret to my success and can be yours as well, there is plenty to go around

That could have been summed up in one word, Simon.
Karma.
And, incidentally, I'm not dropping by your place any time soon.
I hate Post-Its on my burgers.

Not to get religious or anything, but this sounds like the Christian version of the Power of Prayer.
The Power of Positive Thoughts. Focusing on what you want out of life and putting yourself in places to make it happen. Doing good unto others and that good will return to you ten fold.
This is not intended as a digg on you Simon, but that of what you speak has been around for thousands of years.

Well, if you read Simon's tome, Lynne, he mentioned writing down what he wants and sticking notes all over the place.
I wasn't demonstrating any overt PostIt-phobia or anything; just worrying about finding his handwriting on my meal.
And imagine finding 'LYNNE'S VOICE' taped to the toilet tank.
No, it's just not a home I want to visit.
