Hi, Alex and other founders of Voice123. I just want to thank you. You have taken my business to a whole new level... I get soooooooooooooooooooo much work through this site. In fact I've told lots of fellow talents and my VO students about it.

Anything in the works to allow us to have html available in the text section of our bids?

Also, I know this would be more difficult, it sure would be nice if any client who requires a custom demo was required to hold the bidding process open for at least 24 hours! It's so frustrating to do a custom, then go back and find out the bid closed. This is why I rarely do custom demos. Better to submit generic and get in (and I've gotten a lot of work that way) than take time to do a custom and they close it early!

You guys are awesome.

Thank you for your feedback Julie! A major set of changes is coming soon to Voice123 that will address, among many others, this issue. We plan on:

Arrow Asking the voice seekers to allow at least six hours for talents to submit an audition or proposal to any project

Arrow By showing you the deadline of the project including the hour and minute when the project will be closed automatically.

Arrow Reducing the amount of auditions a voice seeker receives to any project, thus, reducing the chances the voice seeker will close the project too soon because he/she has received too many auditions.

Now, it is important to keep in mind that voice seekers will always have the option to close the project at anytime. As such, it is important that once you open a project and determine that you want and can audition, you record the custom demo pretty quickly and upload it.

If you have further questions, please let me know Julie!

Julie:

What an amazing website. Loved the "chocolate" theme.

Exclamation That's going to be a big help! I can't tell you how many times I see a posting that requires a custom, only to see tons of responses by the time I'm ready to submit! kopf gegen wand

I record all the custom leads that come my way - it's great practice!
The ones I like, I send - even it there are already 100 replies, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I treat them all like a live audion, except I get to edit and pick the best take - a great benefit to the voice123 way.

I also keep the rate guide right next to my recording console. I never bid lower than the low end of the scale - I work my butt off for every audition and even more for every paying client. None of us wants to spend our life recording IVRs 12 hours a day for $50 a piece, do we?

Thanks voice123 for this opportunity and keep pushing the envelope!
John
