I have a client..ok a family member...who has asked me to do his voicemail. He gave me his phone # and password but I have no idea what to do with the MP3...should it be in wav?....How do I get it from my computer onto his phone...can someone give me a basic 'voicemail for dummies' course?... Confused Thanks, Marilyn Taylor

Marilyn,

If you haven't had any help by tomorrow, sorry too busy today, send me your personal e-mail address. Louis, another member made a video for me, you will need Skype which runs at $30.00 year, from there it is pretty easy.

I just recently did a phone system for a local business. I recorded and produced the on-hold message in my studio and burned to CD for use in the CD player that is hooked into the phone system.

As for the voicemail (or IVR) part, I went to the office and recorded directly into the phone system. That is the easiest way.

But you can do the same for his voicemail remotely. You have to know how to get into the system to record the greeting and/or prompts. This is where the manual for the phone system comes in handy.

Of course, if this is a CELL PHONE, you have to have his password to get in, then just follow the prompts to record a new greeting and you're done Very Happy

Does his system allow to load the files? That would sure make it a lot easier.

I may need to work this angle too. Can you just get the free Skype download and use that to transfer the file over or do you need to pay $ for their headset package and all?

I'm going to see if a CD will do for them--I don't want the hassle of yet another program just for a few liners.

Thanks in advance,
Cameron
